Bay View has
a unique position in Cadgwith, situated at the top of the slipway
leading directly onto the beach and opposite the Cadgwith Cove Inn.
Grade 2 listed, it was probably built in the 16th century to house
a large capstan used to winch up seine boats originally used for
pilchard fishing. The advertising, television, and film industries
have used the house on a number of occasions and it also features
on many postcards sent around the world. Recently the house was
refitted to a high standard and has a modern kitchen and living
area including slate flooring throughout and the addition of a cosy
wood burning stove for winter. Lulled by the sound of the waves
you can enjoy sea views from the main bedroom and sitting room.
French windows lead out to the garden and here you can watch the
daily activities of the local fishermen, village events or just
relax in the sunshine and enjoy your holiday.

We came to Bay View, Cadgwith during the coldest March in 30 years, but
that did not spoil our holiday. It was great to see the waves crash against
the rocks from the warmth and comfort of the cottage. A very memorable
holiday in a cottage fitted out to very high standards
