When you escape to Cornwall it is worth that extra effort to visit the Lizard Peninsula - one of England's hidden treasures. Here you will find beautiful coastal walks, long sandy beaches and a place where people still matter. Carlton Cottage has been in the owner's family for the last 50 years and this semi-detached house has recently now been very tastefully and artistically renovated to create comfortable open plan modern accommodation. The wood floors, stained glass windows and a porthole in the front door are only a few of the interesting features. Situated in the heart of the quiet village of Ruan Minor you are close to the amenities of the village - the church, the greengrocers and the general stores and post office. Within 5 minutes walk you are in Cadgwith Cove whiling away the day watching the fishermen launch their boats, enjoying a cream tea at the Old Cellars restaurant or savouring a pint and pasty in the Cadgwith Cove Inn. A relaxing holiday awaits you!

Beverley Atkinson
We had an excellent holiday in May/June 2009 at Carlton Cottage. The cottage was spotless clean and the equipment and standard of fittings excellent.Nice welcoming touches of a bottle of wine and milk in the fridge.Spar shop next door but one and only a 10 min walk into the cove with a good restaurant, pub and a couple of shops.Ideally situated for walking the coastal path.
I would recommend as excellent value for money.

We came to Cornwall for the very first time and had a really enjoyable holiday in Carlton Cottage. We felt at home as soon as we came in! Good value for money, we certainly plan to come back!Beware of the seagulls, they ruined my cream tea in the garden; they stole my scone, when I went inside to fetch my cup of tea!
