Originally
a thatched cottage built around 1660 this is a place to stay with
much character and has been very tastefully refurbished and modernised
this year, although no longer thatched. The name Gwary-va (cornish
for a place of dance and theatre) has been chosen by the owners
who wish everyone to enjoy their home . Whitewashed walls, tile
floors, low ceilings, traditional wooden floors all create a very
natural atmosphere in this semi-detached cottage situated on the
edge of the village of Ruan Minor. The village has a greengrocers,
general stores, children's play area, tennis court and every Thursday
morning there is a market at the village hall where you can sample
all local produce. Less than a ten minute walk away you find Cadgwith
Cove where you can while away the hours watching fishing boats,
enjoy a pasty and a drink at the pub, have a cream tea at the Old
Cellars restaurant or just look around and see how this very pretty
fishing cove has remained unchanged for hundreds of years. Gwary-va
offers an excellent location for a holiday to explore this very
beautiful area.
