This is the second time we have stayed here. Ivywell is a lovely place to stay with a family, or families and we once again enjoyed our stay. It is such a peaceful and relaxing setting right in the heart of the Lizard. The owners have described it as a “happy, happy house” and it certainly feels that way. We are glad to be able to share this wonderful place, even for just a short time.

A wonderful stay at Ivywell. Ideal for our family group of 14. The teenagers loved the loft room. Excellent kitchen, with so many utensils. We loved Coverack, St Ives by train, river trip to Falmouth etc.

Lovely house - thank you very much for a wonderful stay. We have been coming to Cadgwith for years and this is the first time in Ivywell. We hope to be back soon. The only issue we had was not having enough hot water for showers.

Third fantastic visit to Ivywell and hope it won't be the last. Brilliant, well-equipped home. Recommend the pub in Cadgwith. Caught pollack, mackerel and wrasse - any fellow fishermen should try Poltesco Point (never failed to catch).

Am amazing week in this brilliant family home. So much fun had by five grandchildren, parents and grandparents - special times. Cadgwith Cove has amazing scenery and we recommend Praa Sands. The local store had everything we could wish for. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks for the wine on arrival - most welcome.

Thank you for a lovely stay. The house is beautiful and it is clear to see the happy times that have been shared here by the Girling family. We really felt like we were staying in a home, not just a house. The house is well equipped and in a delightful setting/location. Smith and Sampson families, Cardiff and Canterbury
Despite typical British weather we had a lovely time. The house was spacious so we were able to spread out on rainy days, when sitting in the conservatory was a favourite thing to do. Went for lots of walks around the Lizard - Kennack Sands is a favourite beach and the far beach is perfect for dogs. Some of us also went coasteering, on fishing trips, to Flambards and the Seal Sanctuary, and to Poldhu. Missed Kynance, so hope to come back next year. A lovely family holiday.

Wonderful location, lovely walks, good shop and pub. Very relaxing - the perfect family stay.
Ivywell has so much space and feels like a home. We all enjoyed the wonderful garden, the stroll to Cadgwith and the reading in the conservatory. We will be back.

Lovely family home, lots of space - our 18-month-old grandson loved to run around in it! The local pub was fab (Cadgwith Cove), food was lovely. Bought fresh fish from the cove. We had a lovely, relaxing holiday and will recommend it to other people.

We loved Ivywell and found it generally spotlessly clean with everything to hand that we could need for a week away. Thank you for your flexibility during the storm enabling us to arrive early. Other than a couple of frying pans that had been left in the cupboard unwashed, it was a perfect holiday house with beautiful gardens which had been carefully cleaned and prepared. We hope to visit again.

We were absolutely delighted with the house on arrival. Everyone enjoyed the space and the number of common rooms, and particularly a large table to play board games etc. We have enjoyed kayaking from Cadgwith Cove - exploring the sea caves and seeing the seals - a lovely walk at Kynance and a tasty visit to Roskilly's for wood-fired pizza and ice-cream.
We have stayed in a few places of this size and this is far and away the nicest house of its kind that we have stayed in as a group. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our time in Ivywell and would definitely return. Great garden, lovely big table for family meals in the kitchen and the table tennis table was excellent fun. The décor and furniture was comfortable, if rather dated - a more modern 'makeover' would be my preference.
