Every so often we find a hidden gem and we have certainly found one here at Bramley Cottage. Unassuming from the outside you enter through a cottage doorway into the cosiest of rooms with a serpentine inglenook fireplace and original wood beams. Surrounded by comfy sofas and a log burning stove you won’t want to go very far away. Large gardens outside with lovely Bramley apple trees complete the picture and every window provides a frame to the views outside. Originally a 300 year old thatched cottage you feel that many a story would have been told here with the coastal path and the Devil’s Frying Pan only a two minute walk away and Cadgwith Cove at the bottom of the hill just 5 minutes walk away. This cottage has just been lovingly refurbished and provides a great location with easy parking just outside.
Accommodation: GROUND FLOOR: ENTRANCE HALL: with space for coats and shoes. LOUNGE: with two large sofas, log burning stove, TV with freeview, DVD player. KITCHEN: with electric cooker, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher. Small dining table and chairs. Utility space: with washer/drier and microwave. BATHROOM: with W.C., bath with overhead shower, wash basin and heated towel rail. FIRST FLOOR: MAIN DOUBLE BEDROOM: with king sized double bed and views to the garden. SECOND BEDROOM: single bedded room with plenty of space for pull out single bed. Suitable for 2 children. Views over the garden. PARKING: plenty of space just outside on drive. HEATING: underfloor heating in kitchen and bathroom. Log burning stove and electric heaters. GARDEN: cobbled area just outside the house with bench for early morning coffee. Very large gardens stretch from the cottage to area with table and chairs. Orchard area with Bramley apple trees. SPECIAL NOTES: fairly steep staircase may be unsuitable for the infirm or very young children. The dining kitchen is small and so the cottage is suitable for 2 adults and 2 small children maximum.

We had a wonderful week in Cadgwith and in Bramley Cottage. Having visited Cadgwith before, we knew that we were coming to a wonderfully authentic Cornish village. Bramley Cottage was a perfect base. It is charming, very comfortable and well kitted out with everything we might need. The garden is beautiful and was wonderful to sit in during the evening. A barbecue would have been a great asset to the cottage so we could barbecue fresh fish from the village. We will certainly be back.

We had an amazing 6 days in Bramley Cottage. It was comfortable, cosy but also convenient, with all mod cons. Liz and David are brilliant hosts, and just down the lane if we needed them. Lots of things to see locally. We will be back soon. Thank you!
